In an exclusive sit-down behind the walls of Bolingbroke Penitentiary, Paul Preston, the man at the center of the recent DW Customs barricade, offered a raw and unfiltered account of the events that rocked Los Santos.
According to Preston, what the public saw as chaos was, in his eyes, a desperate cry for justice. He claims a string of injustices -- beginning with an alleged wrongful arrest and culminating in the loss of his home -- pushed him to the brink.
Preston alleges that after he and a friend were imprisoned, they could no longer afford taxes on their property. As a result, Dynasty Eight (D8) repossessed the home. When he was released, Preston says he returned to D8 to demand restitution.
"We went to the D8 building. Demanded our house back. Demanded our money. Nothing. So yeah, I tried to get their attention another way."
Preston also admitted to being at Humane Labs during an attempted bombing, though he claims the device was non-functional and the effort misguided. The situation escalated when Preston allegedly took a deputy hostage at City Hall in Blaine County, fleeing to DW Customs in Los Santos where he was eventually surrounded by law enforcement.
Ultimately, Preston was convicted of Act of Terrorism, Felony Evading Arrest, and Kidnapping, receiving a sentence of 3,200 days at Bolingbroke Penitentiary. Despite the convictions, Preston remains unrepentant.
Whether Paul Preston is a man wronged by the system or a dangerous agitator is now up to the public -- and the history books -- to decide.
